Real love is humble. John 13 Pride and love cannot coexist, love is the very opposite of pride. Love is giving of one's self at any cost in any circumstance. Matthew 5:43-48 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour.... You may think it seems weak to let people take advantage of you, you are right But God cannot place His power on us when we think we have our own power. 2 Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. It is a good practice to stay humble enough to see that monetary goods are really just a band aid solution. Yes it is good to give, Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over.... But often when people want water they really need a well. John 4:7-10 There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: ..... I'm sure we all have seen and heard countless times of lives completely changed because they received Christ. Their thinking will change, their focus will change, their outcome will change. Love will go beyond beyond any barrier, it goes beyond sin, social standing, and skin colour. John 13:11-14 Ephesians 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. -Don't look at who they are but who they need. When we find it in ourselves to love the unlovable we begin to make a real difference. Jude 1:22 And of some have compassion, making a difference: After all its who we are! -It's our identity John 13:35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. John 13:37-38 Even when Christ knew his disciples would betray him He showed them love. Lets try to follow Christ's example of love. ~Who knows maybe you could change someone's life today just by showing a little love an kindness.~
